Corn Chowder

Ingredients:

2 potatoes
3 strip of bacon
1/2 onion
1 stalk celery
350 mL milk
1 can (350 mL) cream corn
few grains garlic salt
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

1. Peel and cube the potatoes. Cook in a small amount of boiling water until almost cooked (5-10 minutes). Drain.
2. Chop bacon, onion and celery.
3. In another pan, cook bacon for a few minutes, add oinion and celery and sautee. Drain off excess fat.
4. Add potatoes, corn and milk to the bacon mixture. More milk may be added if the chowder is too thick. Add seasonings.
5. Simmer for 10 - 15 minutes - stir occasionally. Avoid boiling. Taste for seasoning.
